Community
Heart & Soul
The Dripping Springs Community Foundation provided start-up assistance, funding and fiscal sponsorship to a local group working to engage all residents in an effort to learn why individuals/families chose Dripping Springs to live and what they would like to see for its future.
Following a national framework of “Community Heart & Soul,” Dripping Springs is one of about 100 small communities undergoing this process to positively impact their communities.
The local effort has been named “DSTX Together,” and efforts are underway to survey the community and to record stories of a cross-section of Dripping Springs. The group’s first outreach event was Founder’s Day. Look for additional outreach efforts in the near future.
The DSTX Together group is a sponsored project of the Foundation. Additional funding provided by Texas Regional Bank, Ally Medical Emergency Room and Deep Eddy Vodka, in addition to many individuals and families.

Scholarships for Local Students
The Foundation is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients for the 2026-27 school year:
The Prakash (Jad) Jadeja Scholarship was established in 2024 by friends and family after the sudden passing of beloved local teacher, Prakash Jadeja. The 20026 “Jad” scholarship recipient is Evan Robin who will attend Texas A&M University.
The Dripping Springs/Wimberley Girl Scouts created scholarship opportunities in 2012 and has selected recipients bound for college each year since. The 2026 scholarship recipients are: Makaylee Culver who will be studying Animal Science at Texas State University with the goal of attaining a veterinarian degree and working at a zoo.
Tatum Davis will be attending Austin Community College prior to transferring to a major university to pursue a degree in Environmental Science, focusing on land and wildlife conservation. Katelyn Hamilton Calderon plans to study Forensic Science at St. Edwards University with a future goal of working as a crime scene investigator.

Dripping Springs
Community Library
The Dripping Springs Community Library provides free access to print and electronic materials, music, information and reference services, educational and cultural programs and meeting spaces for residents of all ages and interests in the Dripping Springs area. The library, a nonprofit organization, serves a base population of more than 50,000 residents.
The new Library on Wheels brings library services directly into the community through a variety of rotating stops throughout the Dripping Springs area. Stops may include neighborhoods, community gathering spaces, apartment communities, local businesses, parks, schools, and special events. Some visits may also be paired with programs or activities such as story times, crafts, STEM experiences, outreach events, or community partner programs. All community members are welcome at every Library on Wheels stop. Neighborhood and community stops are open to the public and are not limited to residents living within a specific neighborhood or development.
Stop times and locations will vary throughout the week, so patrons are encouraged to regularly check the Library on Wheels schedule for the most up-to-date calendar and route information.

Zev Kweller Memorial Skatepark
Dripping Springs Community Foundation acted as the fiscal sponsor for bond funds from Hays County residents earmarked to build a community skatepark along with a grant from the Burdine Johnson Foundation, funds from the Norcal Group and a local fundraising campaign headed by Dennis Baldwin and Eric Hennelin. Opened in 2025, the skatepark is now part of the City of Dripping Springs’ Founders Memorial Park and is enjoyed daily by residents of all ages and abilities.
The skatepark is named in honor of Dorian Zev Kweller, an avid skater who tragically passed away at age 18.
