Greater Dripping Springs area
The Dripping Springs Community Foundation was created and established by a group of community-minded residents to serve as a resource of funds to serve local needs and to serve as a fiduciary for donated funds. Funds have included the Keep Dripping Springs Beautiful Fund, the Gathering Fund and the Land Use Planner Fund for the City. The Foundation also served as the fiscal sponsor for the Dripping Springs Elementary School for a fundraiser for teachers to replace educational items not covered by insurance when the school suffered a mold problem.
More recently, the Foundation managed funding for the Zev Kweller Memorial Skatepark built in Founders Park. The current fiscal sponsorship is a community-wide effort to engage residents in envisioning Dripping Springs’ future. This project, DSTX Together, is following a nationally-recognized process entitled “Community Heart and Soul” based in Shelburne, Vermont.
From 2013 through 2016 DSCF sponsored a week-long fundraising campaign called “Givin’ Where I’m Livin’ to award matching grants to participating local nonprofit organizations.
The Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Members are recruited based on their knowledge of and leadership in the Dripping Springs community, community involvement and professional expertise.
